Self Build and Home Builders
Building your own home? Most lenders now require a detailed breakdown of the costs of construction before a mortgage application is approved which EPD can provide. If you intend to build your own home, EPD can provide a bill of quantities and costings which will assist you in ordering materials and working to budgets. If you intend to use a local contractor, EPD can tender the works and draw up contracts ensuring you get the best price available and are protected against claims.
Costings and advice are also available on home improvements, renovations, extensions as well as renewal and sustainable forms of energy.
Main Contractors and Subcontractors
EPD offer estimating services to main contractors and subcontractors in both building and civil engineering works. We have a large depth of experience in pricing large housing developments, commercial/retail projects and road works.
We also provide a QS service during the construction stage to ensure works are valued correctly, that cashflow and profitability are maintained to the end of the project and that any changes requested to the original tender are dealt with correctly.
Contractual advice is also available on JCT and NEC forms of contract and we can advise on the advantages and disadvantages of mediation, adjudication and arbitration on any given set of circumstances.

EPD also offer a bid management service to contractors where we can identify suitable projects at planning stage for our clients, requested to be included on Pre-tender Qualification Questionnaires and assist with the completion of these PQQ?s to ensure successful inclusion onto the tender list for the project identified.
